  • @Thevalleyoftar -That little exchange is soo funny! I wonder if their Christian group will keep singing the kills songs at their meetings now that you've enlightened them. I can imagine the next meeting where they tell the others that they have had a slight misinterpretation of the lyrics and maybe they should find a new song. Ha!

Mind you its rather cute to think someone could have thought that singing about a monkey on one's back was a religious metaphor! Classic.

  • @DJSpinoza You sing "Great God Almighty, been thinking all morning. Great God Almighty, been thinking all day. Lord I'm not satisified. I want hell fire. I must do you wrong. I'm not satisfied." ?? That's their song. Absolutely positive about the metaphor. Also positive that they're not a christian band, with how much Alison drinks on stage, the fact that they have a song called "Fuck the People".. listen to their music.. they're not a christian group.

  • @Thevalleyoftar You sure ? Well all I know is our prayer group regularly sing Great God Almighty by the Kills, during worship.

  • @DJSpinoza ... not christian at all there bud. Having a monkey on ones back is the most common metaphor for having a drug or alcohol addiction. You're looking for crosses in the wrong place man.

  • dope <3

  • @DJSpinoza Don't say that Joshua, I've been following them all this time - "monkey on my back makes me act like that" how does one explain all this religious metaphor?

  • all watched over my machines of loving grace - adam curtis documentary

  • @DJSpinoza I mean they're not a christian rock group... they may personally be christian but not a "christian band".
