20 years for one of the most brutal crimes against another human being. An absoluite disgrace, shame on the parole board.. The witch should have received 20 years just for "cruel and unusual punishment", and then LIFE on top of that for muder. All this murderer had to do to gain sympathy from the bleeding hearts, was to turn to religion. Funny how so many scum buckets find God AFTER they are locked away.

The movie was good but it can't capture the brutal reality of this innocent girl...Hellen Page is mindblowing though....she is so good in this movie!!!

@Chankiez85 Yes actually two but American crime is the actual one...There is also the girl next door but it is only based on the idea of Sylvia's life and the rest is fiction.

@Chankiez85 No,it's not "The Girl next door".It's called "An American Crime".Really touching and cruel movie:( "The Girl next door" is based on the Sylvia Likens story too,but this is just completely bullshit.
