Paul Young - Come Back And Stay (The Seaside Video)

Paul and I were both born in the same year, 1956.

You gotta love the guy. Extremely handsome (for a guy I may add), and with one of the best male voices of all time. Back then, I think half the female population wanted to bear his children. :)

Here is a video that I recall watching here in the states, way back when... I guess 1982 or there-abouts.

It's a bit low quality and grainy (looks like it was ripped from a VHS tape), but since I did not see it here on YouTube, here it is.

And yes, Paul looks a lot older now, and was recently on Hell's Kitchen UK. Bless him, I hope he can hold out and somehow make a comeback of sorts (even tho it is reported he had throat problems quite a while back in the '90's).

This song reminds me of a long lost love, from 1990, who she herself, reminded me of the 80's since she had a lot of cool early 80's mixtapes and she was the same age I was, growing up thru the 80's as a teen. Anyone I meet these days doesn't seem to compare to her, and this tears away at me, now I know what old people feel when they remember the events and music of their youth. We are becoming those old people now, slowly. We never thought it would ever happen. I want to go back.

Wow, I grew up in the 80's and remember this song. Had totally forgotten about it till I heard it on the radio the other day so I looked it up. Funny, I never saw him as "handsome" back then but I definitely see it now. I also never realized back then how some times his voice sounds a little like Robert Palmer's and his facial expressions, especially in the beginning (0:25-0:50ish) when he looks down contemplatively and then up again while singing are very much the way Palmer sang.

@GrailcodeDotNet thank you for your words, I myself can relate to your words, I didn't grow up through the 80's, I was only a baby when this song came out , but I remember my sister listening to it, she died at a very young age, but your words summarized it all, we all have some one we yearn for, and this song really hits the heart, and you are so right we all seem to understand older people more and more as time demolishes us

Great video and awesome song.. The quality of the video was perfect for me i like my 80s videos with a hit of vhs quality to them.. gives the video more of that watching in the 80s feelings.
