On 12/18/08, Tyler Hansbrough broke UNC's scoring record that has lasted almost 30 years. Phil Ford was the current record holder since 1978 with 2290 points. Hansbrough has a chance to become the ACC's leading scorer in history this season to over come Duke's J.J. Redick's mark of 2769 points. Most of Redick's points were from 3 points. I concur, but the magnitude with the record was probably address with the news media. With other video views of the event, even Phil Ford looked stunned when asked to go to the court during the game. Yet Tyler set a heck of a lot of NCAA Records :D Why not give him his moment, other players from different teams have had the honor...
