  • Interestingly most elite long distance runners pay as little attention to their efficiency as short distance runners pay to their nutrition. If you watched the 2008 Olympic marathon you would have seen a lot of bad running form.

  • With a series of drills that will impart what proper running form feels like. Each runner is different but generally one starts by decreasing the stride length of the runner while increasing the their stride rate. Then making more adjustments to their foot strike, knee drive and muscles being used for horizontal propulsion after the earlier changes have been successfully implemented, as often these issues begin to correct themselves to some extent by increasing stride rate/reducing stride length

  • very good analysis gj

  • so how you you correct this issues?

  • Is that biomechanics analysis?

  • Check out my videos for more info on the software

  • great video

what software do you use? would like to video and analyse myself

  • Good stuff! I've always been told I'm an efficient runner, but now I want to video myself and check these certain things to see - maybe I could improve my efficiency and therefore speed. Thanks!
