The problem is that nearly ALL animals raised for meat today are treated horribly. I'm vegetarian because i don't want to support that shit.

@demoniclordwizard: Are YOU starving? If world hunger is your concern, why don't YOU do something about it and start some kind of organization or ship some meat that you paid for out of pocket to a country that needs it? Make a difference, boss!

@demon... No,I am not suggesting people eat cow food, I am simply saying that he resources used to feed a cow, could be used to produce, let's say, veggies and grains, that would feed more people than that cow meat could. I thought it was easy to understand my point. However, based on the language you use, I don't see the point for further discussion.

But I will agree with you in the current treatment of these animals. Even I that dislikes animals in general agree that while they are being fattened up they should enjoy a more natural life, I mean who can argue against that. Fuck it would be even better if they could keep them together as families , but it's just not a viable solution. If we start worrying about their fucking feelings we might as well just bring them home and keep them as pets LOL.But then what do we eat? Vegetables? FUCK THAT

"What one cow consumes throughout its life would feed many more people"

What cow feed ? Are you actually suggesting we eat animal feed ? Are you fucking crazy ?

" Meat production as it is is not sustainable."

It's been sustainable since the dawn of mankind.

"it is not part of nature to captivate, mistreat, and interfere with other animals development"

These animals are not free wild animals born in the jungle , they are strictly bred for food , that is the only reason they are even born.

I am sorry, but your comment is very misinformed, because there would be much more food available if we did not use so much resources to produce meat. What one cow consumes throughout its life would feed many more people then its meat can. Meat production as it is is not sustainable. Besides, while I agree that is our nature to eat meat, it is not part of nature to captivate, mistreat, and interfere with other animals development only to increase production and profit. This is what is wrong.

"people don't criticize meat-eating animals because it is their nature"

As is ours. What did we just wake up one day, rub our hands together with an evil grin on our face and say "we're gonna kill and eat some animals AHAHAHAHAHAHA". Are you fucking delusional? We've been eating animals all of our history for the exact same reason all other animals eat animals ,TO SURVIVE. Isn't a good chunk of the earth still starving even now? And your suggesting we should remove some of our food sources? LOL
