Orixá feminina guerreira, rainha das tempestades, dos raios, dos ventos e trovões. Iansã é sinônimo de força e coragem, possui forte magnetismo para atrair quem ama.
No dia quatro de dezembro, comemora-se o dia da deusa africana.
No sincretismo, ou seja, a fusão de doutrinas religiosas, a Santa Bárbara pertencente a Igreja católica é representada no Candomblé como Iansã.
