On the last day of CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment Show 2009 in San Diego, the keynote was the first-ever CTIA Fund Fest. Produced in partnership with MobiTechFest, CTIA Fund Fest invited budding entrepreneurs and start-ups to submit executive summaries and investor pitches for innovative mobile products and services that spanned several entry categories. A review committee comprised of partners from top venture capitalist firms evaluated the applications and selected the five finalists who presented on stage this morning.
Here's the video announcing the winners. Chyngle, a mobile application provider to sporting, shopping and other venues, won the Champion Award. Winning People's Choice was Telcare, which links patients with chronic illnesses to their doctors using mobile technology.
