but i do recall seeing a video of them getting ready just before the S&M concert where James said he was "afraid his voice would be like..." and did a T-Pain kinda thing with his voice, which could mean he was not looking forward to the autotune if it were in fact being used

@williamtrevormcneil s&m was autotuned. Im a huge metallica fan but I also have a good ear when it comes to music. So keep that in mind. I know your gonna get all pissed off and defensive that id even THINK something like this, but its true

@Eorhen he blew his voice out on the black album, so of course his voice has lost some rasp 20 years after, but to say he's not a good singer just because you say its not a thrash voice? thats retarded

are you saying Freddy Mercury, Steve Perry and countless other singers arnt "good" because they dont sing thrash metal?

why would he use thrash-style vocals on albums that are clearly not trying to be thrash albums? (Load, ReLoad, St. Anger)

@williamtrevormcneil Sry, but albums after ajfa aren`t thrash albums. He was great thrash singer before black album. He had great voice, but now he`s voice is really light, it`s not voice of thrash vocalist.
