Tears for Fears - Mad World (piano version) (also mistakenly known as from REM)

This is one of the best songs in the last century. Period. Wether you like it or not, it perfectly depicts the dispair (i.e.: No tomorrow, no tomorrow...) one can feel when taking a look at the state our planet is in: people spending 90% of the richness of their countries in military crap, cosmopolitans just worried about their new piece of furniture while there's people dying of hunger in the same block... I'm not saying everything in this life is rotten, but this song definitely reminds me that we have to try to be more human to each other.

My wife mentioned Donnie Darko today and I remembered REM's version of this song. While looking it up I found this. I cant stop listening to this. I'm literaly sitting by the computer having a beer or two, and listening to this over and over again. But its not depressing, its beautiful. Thank you, my mad world has been calmed.

Sorry, R.E.M never recorded this song. You are mixing it up with Gary Jules version for the movie Donnie Darko. You are playing it very nice. Good job! You should change the title to "Gary Jules - Mad World (piano version)"

Actually. This is Gary Jule's version. Tears for Fears version has no piano in it. It's upbeat and 80's esc. the song is more about madness and losing your mind than it is about despair. But Jule's version made it sound much more depressing than mad like the original version. But in any case you played it awesomely! Nice work!
