This is a clip I made of Metallica's The Thing that Should Not Be with samples of the 2005 movie Call of Cthulhu. That's a funny '20s styled silent black and white movie about Lovecraft's story. I think the director Andrew Leman did a great job. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478988/

  • @romica1969 You mean to not go mad?

  • Great job. Being a fan of Lovecraft I always thought this song would make a good video. I didnt know somebody made a film version of 'Call of Cathulhu' and black & white at that. Oh hell yea, gotta check this out. Thanks

  • @Raider2845 The song for the most part can be related to many of the Great Old Ones, although I do agree that Nyarlathotep is one of the closer ones.

I do have to point out, Messenger of Fear is an obvious homage to Cthulhu's influence on dreams, as well as Lurking Beneath the Sea.

All in all, great song paying homage to an amazing author.

  • Great song, and a great movie. If only Hollywood could produce something half as creepy, instead of a bunch of CGI crap. It takes a certain kind of mind to really understand Lovecraft.

  • oh man, it all makes sence to me know ....

  • I do believe this song is actually more about Nyarlathotep. He is the Haunter of the darkness and also Crawling Chaos Under Ground was the term used for him.

  • @Hrisovalantis92 Netflix has it on instant stream

  • In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming

yet He shall rise and His kingdom shall cover the Earth
