I never said it was "all" to do anything. Clearly the man has artistic talent. But that doesn't mean that he's not phony, not someone who purposely changed his name, himself, his voice, and his music to ride the waves.

Are you seriously arguing that his 51 years of performing is a stunt to boost his notoriety? He wrote hundreds of influential, poetic songs, something no one before him has done and you call him a fraud? The more times you simply repeat that statement, doesn't make it more true. He's pulled off a number of nice little stunts like that to boost his notoriety and get people talking about him (hence, spreading the word and getting people thinking about his music), just like the born again Christian phase. This isn't calculus, it's grade school geometry.

I doubt you actually looked into this at all. Bob Dylan's a fraud. That's not news at all. If you can still like him even though he's a complete phony, that's fine.
