October 19, 2008. Graham, WA. This ugly two alarm fire took the lives of three young sisters.

The fire which was reported just after midnight Sunday morning in the 25300 block of 103rd Avenue East on Graham Hill.

The exact cause has yet to be released, but it is believed to be accidental and started in the attic area. It is possible that the fire burned for up to 30 minutes in the attic/roof area before triggering any fire alarms. There was absolutely nothing anyone could do. The girls did try to escape but quickly overcome by smoke and extremely high temperatures. The father and stepmother did escape from the ground floor master bedroom. The father made valiant attempts to rescue his daughters before firefighters took over the effort.

Once again, this was a situation that nothing could be done. The first responders just escaped a flash over while trying to get one of the sisters out of her bedroom. It was all ready to late. Two of the sisters were located and removed during the main fire attack. The third was found later that afternoon while the debris was searched.

  • man i miss katie she was my loyal friend

man... just watch my video it might suck

    but yeh leave comments

  • Your video does not suck. You did a very good job and I like how you used the still of the fire from the video I shot that night. I own the copyright but I'm posting here that you have my permission to use it in your video.

If you would like to post your video has a video response, please do. Your video is a touching tribute to the friend you have lost. I'm very sorry that this event happened.

  • This is one of the unfortunate parts of the profession. Dealing with the loss of life.

Losing 3 is just that much worse.

  • Unfortunately it happened again this morning just after midnight in Mason county. At least two children killed in a house fire.
