Basically, this story revolves around Zero's feelings for Yuki and his unrequited love. He is willing to give up anything to protect her, even if it means selling his soul to Kaname, a vampire. In the end, he realizes that Kaname is manipulating both he and Yuki although she refuses to see that because she loves him. The video also deals with Yuki's pending transformation to a vampire by Kaname's hand, while Zero tries to protect her humanity. Although Zero is a vampire and despises himself and all other of his kind, he feels it is his duty to respect Yuki's love for Kaname and her wish to live immortally with him forever and to serve as her protector.
Symbols
Red is used on the characters to symbolize blood as a life force (ie. life itself).
Monochrome is used to represent being a vampire or becoming a vampire, thus why Kaname is in black and white and why both Yuki and Zero shift from red to black and white. Additionally, this explains why Zero would become a vampire in Yuki's place if he could.
0:00-0:03 "The Protector" "The Sacrifice" "The Manipulator"
0:45-0:47 Yuki's transformation to a vampire, where Zero feels like he is loosing her.
0:54-0:55 Both Yuki and Zero are supposed to be crying, although I know I failed miserably. LOL
0:56-0:59 Kaname's supposed to smirk as if he knows he's beaten Zero and won the game.
