  • Ah, Gidget is sooooo adorable.

  • This was the pilot episode, filmed when Sally was 18 years old. The series was initially scheduled on ABC's Wednesday night lineup (right after "THE PATTY DUKE SHOW"), but more viewers preferred the competition- CBS' "BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" and NBC's "THE VIRGINIAN", so it was moved to Thursdays in mid-season...opposite CBS' "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND" and NBC's "DANIEL BOONE". Just as the show was starting to finally draw a bigger audience in the summer of '66, ABC cancelled it...

  • I ♥ Gidget!

  • This used to come on at like 5am before the Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid in the 80's.

  • The Four Freshmen sang the theme in the opening credits of the UNAIRED version of the pilot; Johnny Tillotson's version is the one used in the actual series. Bob Claver produced the pilot; William Sackheim produced the series.

  • In Gidget's teen lingo, "ick" indeed means "icky" {"blaagh!"}, 'Minisode'.

  • SHES SOOO HOOOOT THERRRE

  • lol LOL
