  • Musically, this is beautiful.

But it definitely left me feeling a little cold. I felt almost no emotion. =/

It felt it was a little rushed.

Also the speed of the "O you who turn the day to night in this dark hour" was just soo painfully casual. I definitely feel like the most emotion and legato should be there to bring out the meaning of the text. This is not just about Mary saying her last goodbyes to Jesus, it's about every mother letting go of her child. I didn't feel it.

    This was ordinary.

  • I feel like the altos drowned out the sopranos. Something was off or maybe they were trying to control their sharpness too much where you couldnt hear them at all

  • my choir is starting to sing this song :) just finding out how it sounds so i can have an idea wat it sounds like very prettty :) good job

  • Beautiful...I was one of you once, back in the 90's...lol. You all are amazing and make me miss the choir days. Please embrass what you have now and enjoy it. Absolutely great! Good going Earth Mamas

  • This song is so beautiful. The diction is excellent. You worked very great on the text. I have never heard such a choir as you all. This is a SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE!!!

  • i thought you were REALLY REALLY awesome! but this is an emotional peice! maybe, you could put more emotion into it. I mean , this is a piece about mary.....she is watching her son be curcified on the cross, for not his sins but for everyone elses. its about a mothers love. Just take it a little slower, and put more emotion into it, and not so technical!

  • Lovely diction and committment to the text. Well done, ladies!

  • this song gorgeous...i sang it for all-virginia chorus in 2004...good times

  • i agree with you ....otherwise this was great!

my choir is doing this song! i absolutely love it!
