  • I just had a masectomy and reconstuctive surgery done same time using the lastissmus dosal 10 days ago so this was really helpful. thank you

  • Worse comes to worst to go for a reconstruction is really a woman's choice of medical and not a cosmetic surgery for boosting her body image and self esteem. Last but not least, whether breast reconstruction after a mastectomy will affect a woman's tummy muscle or severe side effect in the future is an important decision to consider.

I would appreciate if someone can solve my above question here, thank you.

  • Some good information but unlike the TRAM Flap, which directly harvests the abdominal muscle, DIEP Flap surgery leaves the abdominal architecture fully intact.

  • i had a total mastectomy ten years ago and a tran flap reconstruction nine years ago no problems since.

  • @daremesexy1 I dunno how your comment is funny but it just somehow is when I read it it made me laugh out loud

  • @boopodge Gosh, I wish you all the best!

Hope you remain cancer free forever and your reconstruction looks fabulous! :)
