  • I remember going to this arcade where they had the full Virtua racing setup! massive rear screen projection screens and mock F1 cars you could sit in and they would rock around when you drove and would shake if you crashed, it was amazing!

  • @hargosh37

Same thing here :') good old days man... the background menu music is just great

  • That commentator machine is called "Live Monitor", one of Sega's Patents.

I didn't see any real VR, but I want to see that announcer called Virt McPolygon.

  • Just seeing that Course Select screen and repeatedly hearing "Waiting Your Entry" brings back many sweet memories!

  • ah. the color commentator in the game was appropriately named Virt McPolygon

  • I remember playing this at Sega City aka Playdium here downtown Toronto and it was 8 player set up and they had an announcer like a Color commentator through the game. They also had a Camera in your face with a screen above the game screen so spectators can see your face and reaction in the game. SO I won 1st place and was a lil embarrassed cause I'm sorta shy they made a big deal out of it. and they were so many spectators It was good times though. sigh

  • OMG! I used to play this arcade game at Dream Machine at The Pheasant Lane Mall (which no longer exists. In fact, Dream Machine is out of business since 2002). I used to love those racing arcade game.

  • Graphics show, that this game was the first driving games with 3D graphics.

I just love that nostalgic feeling...
