I love Misato. I don't see why people think she's a slut. She only slept with one guy, and she slept with him because she loved him!

Have to say she's probably my all time fave character in anime. I really connected with her, espeecially during my years of military service. Mostly I think simply because that's the kind of life I was living. Duties to perorm,random sex, a beer in hand before bed and again when getting up with plenty more in between. Mostly out of some sense of self loathing or job related issues I think. I find it funny some would refer to that as the party life... I call it a life of desolation.

I love Misato as a character. She has that playful, party-girl-like enthusiasm on the exterior, but has a lot of deep issues on the inside that you can resonate with. That makes her fun, but not 1-dimensional; deep but not too depressing. She also drinks to feel de-stressed, which pretty much everyone can relate to at some point. And she has her badass moments - like the Jet Alone thing, or shooting that SEELE guy point blank - and still carries a positive, professional attitude.

She was a pretty tragic character. I mean, she was a bit of a slag, but she was she was also much deeper than that. She had to resort to alcohol to deal with her Electra complex. She was probably one of the most tragic characters. Why does it always have to be the comic relief?!

@Misrilou no i saw a scene where shinji was in a room sitting on his bed depressed and misato was standing in the door way,then they talked and then misato layed him down on the bed then shinji said "no stop" and things got a little awkward after that

@NaoiKawaii I don't remember any of that happening during the series. Now in the series there was a lot of teasing involved, though we know Shinji was too much of a f--- stick to get it. But in the final movie when he won't pilot the Eva, she tongue kissed him and promised to "do the rest when he got back." However, she died, knowing she got him to possibly save humanity. It's The End of Eva Movie. Cheers!
