Sony CX105 with Opteka 0.3

MPEG2 conversion direct from Sony's PMB so not greatest quality with regard to the export, but you can get an idea of the lens and it's capabilities. I will endeavour to upload a higher res version of this once i work out how to do so, either with PMB or with Premiere CS4 which i'm about to get.

Not bad for $100!

  • could this fit on a sony handicam?

cause i have a wide angle lense on it.. and my camera is 30mm

and i have a step up ring to go to 30-37 would this fit on my camera?

  • quite possibly i guess so, but i'm not 100% sure. Don't see why it wouldn't as long as the ring size is right but i can't be 100% sure - speak to Opteka.

  • Hey is the Opteka Platinum Series fisheye 37mm with adapter more preferable than the Opteka 0.43x HD II for 30.5mm cameras?

  • no idea - i'm just a user of the 0.3x 37mm lens, you're better off speaking to Opteka.

All i know is that the 0.3x lens is perfect for the type of shooting i need to do on my jumps - it's almost not wide enough when very close up on a subject, so me personally, i wouldn't go any less wide (which i imagine the 0.43x would be)

  • the wind probably killed your cams mic

  • Nah, the wind actually doesn't affect the mic. At least not on the cameras i've jumped with. My old camera had nearly 500 jumps and it's still going strong as ever :)
