  • that kuvasz is rather on the small side, is it not?

  • @rattlunhum its a female on that breed the females are markedly smaller I think

  • My 5 month old german shepherd puppy has agression issues with other dogs, which dogtra would you recommend?

  • we use the dogtra 200 gold, its usually 200 or less try looking on ebay

  • It's not really a shock collar though is it? More of just a vibration from what I understand.

  • a shock is something unexpected that cannot be controled, people just mistakenly call them that see my second video on my page!

  • @Dj0wdiej The Tri-tronics unit I use (top of the line Pro G3 100) has allowed me to give my dogs much greater freedom when out on hikes, knowing I can easily recall them if they stray. Electric stim is rarely necessary--they come come back VERY reliably when sent a beep/tone recall. I have also used it to stop them from chasing other animals, and to train them to stay on my property. It has been invaluable. I would not recommend a unit that does not have the tone/beep recall feature

  • @Dj0wdiej Have you ever used such a device? Probably not. I use a similar Tri-tronics unit with my 2 Kuvaszok. For starters, it also has a button to send a tone correction/command. A shock is not necessary very often--and there are 18 levels of shock correction--from imperceptible to over the top. The stronger correction can be of great benefit when a dog is running into danger--towards a speeding car, or after a porcupine for example.

  • @Dj0wdiej I am posting videos soon of my dogs--they will show 2 fun loving comedians who definitely do NOT live in fear and pain. Used properly these collars are not abusive at all--just a helpful tool.

  • oh thanks ..trust me that Kuvasz would attack anyone or any dog before she was trained ,its not about punishing them for bad behavior but motivating the right behavior!
