I heard these the Mosquito Magnet models were very unreliable - went ot buy one on Amazon and almost everyone hated their customer service and their machines always broke down. They did say however that when they WERE working, they were great. What is your opinion on the reliability?

@djjazzydj Customer service from Woodstream the new owner is poor to say the least. Have had problems with both of mine, due to carbon build up in the chamber. Was able to search online and fine out how to clean it myself and save money on repair. Can reduce cleaning with CO2 blow out with every tank change. When its working their is nothing like it. The amount it captures is truly unbelievable, and then you are able to break the breeding cycle. Hope helps

I wonder if the wind or a breeze affects its ability to catch them?

@flyrock45 Hi! The wind direction is important as mosquitoes use the wind to return from they think will be a blood meal. However, the trap will be there for them not to return. Make sure the trap is in an open area and not against a wall, fence, or building.

I'm not sure why mine is not catching a single bug?! It ran all day wo a single mosquito catch. Tomorrow I'll buy some Octenol at the hdwr store and add that to the snorkel. Maybe that's why it hasn't caught one so far? Hmmm, one day does not a test make.
