Ed"BigDaddy"Roth whose fantastic car creations and anti-hero Rat Fink character helped define the California hotrod culture of the 1950's and 60's died in his Manti Utah studio on April 4, 2001. He was 69.

I built these models when they first came out. The Munster Coach and Drag-u-la too. Yeah, I'm old. I also read Choppers magazine (when Roth penned articles for it). Roth was (and is) BOSS!

The hells angels were bugging roth over money from his t shirts so he beat them up and through them out then set up a water cooled machine gun on the roof of his shop [ I think he was in the army ] .
