The video was a satire. It was edited to portray Bush's thrust of interest at Trent Lott's porch and to make that porch seem like the real tragedy. The authors of this video were making fun of Bush and his lack of true support for the Katrina refugees.

The fact that some southerners looked stupid in this video is not the crux of the clip.

Well I for one Live down here and contrary to what the Media Reported George Bush Help a Lot here. Lost my home also and due to the efforts of George Bush and Halley Barbour I was able to rebuild my home home and am now back in it. Had it not been for the actions of George Bush and Trent Lott my family would have done with out for a long time. I Think that Both of these GREAT men Done an OUTSTANDING JOB.
