Located north of Japan, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Risings 220km2 battlefield is a place mired in historical disputes stretching back centuries. Claimed by China in the 15th century, the isolated island has also been under Japanese and Russian rule, with the latter currently holding sovereignty. In the very near future, the global economic crisis will result in Skira becoming a flashpoint between superpowers that threatens to erupt into full-scale war. As part of a USMC advance force, the fate of Skira lies in your hands. Think youre ready...?

    "Skira island" is surely fiction,

there are the model islands which can trigger a big warfare at far east.

the Kuril islands between Russia and Japan.

the Senkaku islands between China and Japan.

the Paracel Islands and the Spratly Islands between China, Vietnam, and Philippines.

today, these tensions are getting the highest ever.

  • fck oil, in Brazil they make their own gas from corn fields

  • @ATMirror its tech DID fail to keep pace. the early space race was the last true soviet lead technology wise. Its economy did too, the tech failed to keep pace because of the economy and vice versa.

  • It is fiction...

  • "Russia tech fails to keeps with western" is a baboon like statement. It's soviet economy that failed not soviet technology. And hardly russia with US vs China is plausible scenario. Russia and China are within SCO (NATO type organization). If ever mostly likely scenario is Russia with China vs US. I think US f***ed up big time when after cold war it began expansion of NATO trying to isolate Russia. Instead of gaining a powerfull friend they pushed Russia befriend China.

  • The Chinese have invented weapons which supposedly has the reliability of the ak-47 and accuracy of the m16.

Type 81 assault rifle, it's called. They also have one of the worlds best tanks (along with Russia and America), very good missile technology and air technology. They didn't buy the technology, they are big enough to make it themselves. Who would sell military technology to China anyway? No one would. America can buy scientists from Europe.

Besides, all the best guns are made in Europe.

  • *EDIT* You know....

  • know, you should just be quiet

  • I wasn't saying that about Americans you dumbass, I was mentioning the majority of gamers are young people who really don't give a damn about world politics/events! I was also trying to make a point that people commenting on this shit about playing US forces instead of RU were making too much of a big deal, it a GAME! And it aint stupid to say people don't care b/c they sure as hell didn't with that gang raping of that 15y/o girl! Should I reference some more instances with ppl not caring?

  • your calling the u.s army trash do you no what fukin happens to russian soldiers in the russian army they get fukin abused so much and they have no fukin rights there are also other anti-air defence systems that the U.S has like the RBS-70 and missle wise they have THAAD but all up its the way you use what you have in war WW2 germany was so much more tech advanced than the allies and look who won the start of WW2 france had better tanks then germany but germany still one
