  • hey, i have a regular microphone that i normally use with an amp, will it record if i connect it to the computer with that cable you had or would i need a mixer with phantom power to do that?cheers

  • @sleeptalk98 if its a regular mic !! then you dont need phantom power its only condenser mics that you need that power and yes if your regular mic has an xlr port on it you should be able to use that lead, i got it by mistake to be honest so i dont need mine but yeh if you get one it should plug into you regular mic via your xlr port then the usb connector should plug into your computer and work...... hopefully that helped :) subscribe to my new channel gibzproductionz to see my new mic inaction

  • is that a toilet in the back ground bt ayway how is the mic mine wont turn on how u turn it on

  • no mate its the washing machine lol haha and what you mean it wont turn on !! lol the only way you can sing through it is if you have some sort of audio interface that has phantom power !! sa im using a mixer thought to my pc, hope that helped :)

  • 48 volts on the phantom power mate. condenser mics need it as they're more power hungry than ordinary dynamic ones. i just ordered my B1 today as a deal with xlr cable and boom stand. can't wait to get recording with this baby

  • cool, i have just done a recording with this mic, im going to upload it now so subscribe mate and listen to my recordings ill be uploading, ill sub also, :)

  • 48V not 43 :)

  • i know this video is a good few years back i do wonder if you have upgraded your equipment since because i know for a fact i could have got all of that you just had in this video for less than 100 quid ... its good for basic recording but if you wanted to get a usb condenser mic you should have got the usb version B-1u they cost like a tenner more but you don't need to get a mixer ... one thing i would suggest is a sound card tho if you plan to record professionally
