  • How then hell does the pilot not pass out....

  • Because..he is the pilot!Fighter pilots have specific training to prevent g-LOC(g-induced Loss Of Consciousness). They also use a anti-g suit and a oxygen mask(Steve isn't using mask)to help prevent that. Steve is just a regular guy who get a ride!

  • The Hornet is a Blue Angels hornet. Blue Angels pilots do not wear G-Suits because the continuous inflating and deflating can effect their flight precision. The O2 would have been a help. The physical fitness required to perform their maneuvers without the aid of a G-Suit is quite amazing.

  • @ kasdave - I would imagine that the pax also has an anti g suit on. Why he is not wearing a mask so he can get 100% oxygen (it is your friend) is beyond me. Also chewing gum..... thats asking for trouble.

  • I'm jealous you got to fly in a Hornet!

  • I went to an airshow for the usaf thunderbirds and you can hear the pilots grunting when the do maneuvers

  • he looks high at 0:23

  • LOL that is funny

  • lol

  • As firefighterpilot1 said below, this was a blue angels demonstration flight. The blue angels dont wear G-suits or use oxygen masks. The oxygen has nothing to do with it anyway, and those are only used for flying at altitudes where the air is too thin to breathe. The angels fly low so they dont need them.

  • "Steve is a g-pussy" lmaolmaolmaolmao hahahahahaha

  • All combat fighter pilots do have G-Suits and Oxygen masks as mentioned before, but the Blue Angels don't use oxygen masks or G-suits because the G-suit when inflated will limit the movement of the control stick and therefore they train and fly without it. The pilot had the same exact conditions as this guy, so you can see the difference between being in shape and trained vs. out of shape and minimal training.
