Wow, circumstances for this video were hot off track. First FinalRadiance comes late with his video, then I only have a few hours in TOTAL to prepare...only then with a deleted savefile, so I quickly had to level up for a bit.(Man, replaying Werehog was HORRIBLE. I totally didn't feel like it...) Then when I DO manage to record after a short practice session, it gives me corrupted audio. I put in all sound effects and extra voices in manually besides the rings and footsteps. (There's 500 rings grabbed from my side, and about 500 thousand footsteps by Sonic...NO way that's going through.) Add to it in the end I get the usual crap with rendering and uploading again. Not making it easy on me, huh?
Getting to the race:
I let Shadic in kind of hesistantly because his video quality could literally give people who are sensitive to it seizures, and he used an exploit which I technically consider a glitch, but since his little exploit didn't help him and the video is still watchable, I decided sure. A welcome contestant! As for FinalRadiance, I knew he'd be my best contestant yet. So I pulled out all the tricks and speed-ups I had in my arsenal....or at least a bad attempt at doing so. A pretty close race, and it would've been even more exciting if I had used my first recording instead, where I got a time of 2:05:00.(Radiance and me were allowed to take 2 recordings due to Shadic's drifting exploit)
Funny thing is, I constantly thought for some reason I had to beat the time of 2:01, so I felt like I got beaten badly, but at least put up an exciting race. Only when I was done editing the video I realised "wait a second...I actually won myself!"
My Faults:
0:20 - The reason I drifted right despite the path going left was because I was trying to get to the right side of the springs so I could destroy all robots with 1 homing attack. Sonic glitch-slided left, as if he was auto-pathing there. Lame.
1:20 - Heck knows why, but Sonic faced left when he hit the spring, so I couldn't boost right into the "X" blaster...thingy.
1:29 - I was kind of pushing myself, so I forgot the tactic of simply boost-jumping through all the enemies at once, and instead homing attacked them all. Oh well, at least Radiance didn't come to the idea of doing so.
1:37 - With good timing, you can boost on landing, which I can pull of 2/3rd of the time. First time it ever happened to me, I homing attacked instead onto the hangar. And it just HAD to happen during the recording.
1:45 - Again, due to pushiness, I forgot an important shortcut where I could skip the springs and ring, and run to the lower and faster route.
1:50 - I didn't jump well enough up to the upper hangar like Radiant did and homed onto the freaking springs. I later made up by boosting past the flying robots, though. I snatched the better shortcut in the end!
Other stuff:
The music used was a mash-up between Endless Possibilities and a bunch of other songs by Ethereuz. Check out his Youtube page!
FinalRadiance applied for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, so he'll be having a rematch there with me, and it also means SA2B will be the next Sonic contest video. In the meantime, I plead you guys to do Sonic Heroes or Mario&Sonic at Winter Games.(For some reason, I have a feeling NOBODY will ever apply for that game. XD) You all got FRAPS, what's keeping you all from trying out Sonic Heroes' race?
If i wanted to race you in Sonic Adventure DX
would i be able to use the computer version?

@Sonicforever231 Yes, even the dreamcast version would be fine by me despite some physic differences. But the problem is that the SADX contest is closed. You'd have to try Sonic Heroes, it's the only one left.

@Sonicforever231 Not for the time being. I think Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is still open.
