This is the sound of uneasy happiness. The aching guitars; the anxious chord changes. 'French Film Blurred' is, for me, their most delicate piece. It's a perfect balancing of the fickle moods of one stricken with anxiety. Whenever I listen, I can't help but feel a man in private struggle with himself. 0:56 - 1:27 is one last lunge for peace of mind. Then there is the mocking repeat of the opening notes. At 1:37, he is broken. The downward spiral and the inevitable suicide concludes.
