This video shows how the Battletech 2142 mod (Now renamed MechWarrior Living Legends) all got started (Coding in Jump jets onto a Reisig). We've recently ported the mod over to Crysis due to the limitations of the Battlefield 2142 engine. http://www.mechlivinglegends.net

Interesting, would me much better with actual flying animations though, as pointed out with the straightened legs/toes.

Personally I thought the whole idea for Jumpjets in Battletech werent first meant to be a battle tactic. Rather a way to softly hit the ground after jumping from a drop ship. I guess Mechwarriors soon learned to use it also to take quick jumps over hills to take a quick shot at eneimes, then drop away.

LOL Usually in Mechwarrior when a Mech Jumpjets, its mostly the lighter Mechs. Also they dont walk in the Air. Thier Mechanical legs straighten with thier toes arched down, as they lift off. There is also the risk of damage in Mechwarrior with Jump Jets. Usually you have only a limited amount of boost, and if you use it all, then go for a landing you might be in for some damage.
