You should really also check out:
Gruntruck (New God, Crucifunkin, Crazy Love, etc.)
TAD (Leafy Incline, Greasebox, Helot, etc.)
My Sister's Machine (I Slip Away)
Love Battery (Out Of Focus, Between The Eyes, etc.)
They are all great bands, who kick anything that is out today and calls itself Rock.

Really 'proto-punk'. I still can't believe it was made as early as 1968, because it is extremely modern, I think, and it still rocks today.
