Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC)

In May 1975, Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) launched services dedicated to the well-being of our regions older adults and their caregivers. AASC is a private, nonprofit area agency on aging that serves Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell counties in Virginia.

Today we continue to help older people remain independent in the security of their own homes. AASC supports families in their efforts to care for loved ones at home and in the community. We strive to improve seniors health and quality of life.

AASC is designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging (VDA) to foster the dignity, independence and security of older Virginians by promoting partnerships with communities at the local level.
