Hey Dave I have a Question.. Would the frog, or bait hanging on the trigger string not set the trap off by pulling on the pronontory peg? Just a thought.

maybe the bait is towards to front of the trap so the animal is hit by the front, faster moving end of the rock?

Also, could you make this much bigger, like with a tree trunk, and use the string as a trip wire accross a path, and trap much larger animals with the same system?

for instance with a pine tree trunk, carving the branches in spikes. It'd be like a huge spiked club, primed to fall on the prey when it walks through the path.

Hi Dave, if the trap is that sensitive with the two trip wires - it looks like you could use it as blind trap on game trails for rabbits and the like

Dave, would the bait in the front have not only the weight of the rock on the game , but the gravity fed blunt force, where as the bait in the back would only have the weight of the rock. The force of the rock would be more on the outside because that part of the rock would be higher off the ground.Pythagorean and gravity. Kinda like hitting a fly with the palm three inches off the table as opposed to six inches.

that deadfall device in this case can still be a heavy log, or maybe another heavy object?
