@360PuertoRico This is the same 16 megapixel sensor as found in the NEX-5N. Low light performance is slightly superior when compared to the 24.3 megapixel sensor in the A77 and NEX-7, and then the translucent mirror cuts out 1/3 of a stop further.

Where the A77 exceeds the VG20 with regard to video is in autofocus performance, nowhere else.

looking forward for mix small body camera size of nex 10 n + camcorder capability like sony nex vg 50 with 30 mp with 300 usd ??? lol

Would like to know if you can record directly from the HDMI port while recording?

If you can record into a Ninja or Nanoflash, then this camera may be a better purchase than an A77.

@Swemba - I would go for the A77. It is more versatile. You can print bigger posters. Will have better low light performace. Will put more money in your pocket and it is weather proof. You can use it at the beach, under a storm, in a rain forest or while in a boat without worry. You can take an A77 any place and people will think you are a tourist. With the VG20, police will come and ask questions about if you are from a filming company or the press.

I have the GH2...fabulous camera...however, I am gonna go with the VG20 because you can monitor the audio, the picture is just as nice, the lens is kool, and it takes nice photos...[so I have read]....

Here is the big question. I already have Shoulder rig, Mattebox, focus wheel, external LCD, etc.

Which camera to I buy? The A77 or the NEX VG-20? I'm leaning A77 because of larger sensor, lower price, and I already have Alpha lenses.

Anybody have input?
