The American newspaper industry says it is in dire straits as readers and advertisers turn to digital sources. Some believe that getting news online is posing a serious threat to print newspaper journalists careers.

The New York Times really is dead, isn't it.

  • Going from paper to electronic may have some impact on the NYT, but what's really causing this paper to tank is the fact that they continue to hire moronic left wing tabloid writers. Like Maureen Dowd and her imaginary words. HAHAHAHAHA! What's next? Will she now claim ufo's abducted and impregnated her? She needs to go back to wherever she bought her so called education, and demand a full refund.

  • Its also because western papers by and large - as RT have also reported, have absolutely no interest in being honest or truthful

  • This is the American people's way of saying, "fuck you, liberal blowhards!"

  • The New York Times recently spent over a 100 million dollars building this huge skyscraper on 8th avenue. They should of just stayed where they wher. That is why they are now in trouble. Twin Fair a department store chain did the same thing during the 70s. They went crazy building all new stores. 2 years later they went bankrupt. Money wasted on glitz. Same thing with New York city transit. They wasted money on glitz. Much cheaper rebuilding all the older buses, and trains.

  • maybe if they stopped being the government and AIPAC's mouth piece things would be different.

  • Why did they even need a building in the first place? If everything is online, how come their journalists can't work from home on their own computers?

  • Save the trees, get your news online. Less you buy paper, the more trees you save!

  • Obama approval ratings is in the 50`s n some polls.
