I enjoyed the frustration with the scribing example...in my case, there is usually blood involved :D....Everything is looking great...looking forward to this projects progress...thanks for sharing...Jim.

You could think of it as the downed ATAT was the the lead and the one the rebels focused on first. Just depends on what timeframe you envision for your set.

Well ! You Build and Think BIG !!! my Friend
Don't Funnel all the Good stuff to one End !!! it's a Dio and Each element is important ! You don't want peoples looking at it Stay put at the Rebel base and ignore the rest !
Don't set anything in concrete so you can keep moving elements in and out and make the whole thing viewable from all angle or ! give it a Nice Back drop painting which will enable you to MOUNT the whole thing on the wall and become a Conversation piece ! Norm. OUT !

Good ideas. If I were to mount it I'd need to make one side flat. I want to have it as your first suggestion - viewable all around. Any suggestions to keep it interesting all around?

(about the washer) "....it's Imperial units, not metric"
Very appropriate, for the AT-AT, isn't it? :D

It's all good. I'm not big into some genres but I still love to learn techniques too. Then I was trying to figure out rivets I went straight to Armorama, not a sci-fi site.
