The fact that Green Day pisses punks off so much is more proof of how punk they are. Hell, I don't even like what they're doing now or how they look. Good for them. If punk is about conforming to the world with a bunch of excuses then I don't want it.

They're still PUNK but most people don't agree. Look at songs like: American Eulogy, Holiday, American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown. Billie ( Lead-Singer of Green Day ) was asked in an interview if the actually selledout, he only said FUCK YOU. What i am trying to say is: there is nothing like more Punk or not Punk.. if you call youself a Punk then you are if not then you are not. Look: Anti Flag - Drunk on Punk.

of course green day are a punk band. okay so they might have moved a long way from where they once was, your point? they might not be my cup of tea either but i can at least appreciate some the music when i come across it by mistake like this. will everyone please stop spitting their dummy out please. if you dont like it, then fuck off. punk has been about winging that you dont like this or that band, or conforming to any particular style of dress even one deemed to be 'punk'.
