The brainchild of Portland artist Nim Xuto and writer Ronault L.S. Catalani, Colored Pencils Arts and Culture Night debuted in February 2009, hosting art and performances from a diverse Portland, Oregon community. Spoken word, cultural dance and song, and prose and poetry readings from Cambodian, Somali, Iraqi, Mexican, Samoan, Nepali, Burmese ... among many others.
