The only thing that car is hunting is for a gas station. j/k Looks and sounds great though.

Just to note -- these large B-body Pontiac cars, properly prepared with old school tech, are easily capable of running low 13s or high 12s -- with a single 4-bbl, 800 RPM cam idle 400 Pontiac motor (or, of course, a 421, 428 or 455 motors also) -- and a 4:30-4:56 rear gear -- no NOS -- no turbo or supercharger -- all carb.
No BS -- just fact.

my mom bought one new when i was a baby in 66. we had that car for yrs.then some one told her she had better get rid of it because old pontiacs throw timing chains. so she sold it to the garbage man for $100. this was back in 74 mind you.Anyway I seen that car driving around town tell i was well in my 20's. she loved that car. i wish she had kept it and fixed the timing chain if it ever went. would have ben cheaper then the junk cryslers she started buying.

AVM featured a '66 Catalina Convertible in their 'Changing' video. Sweet Car! I've always had a soft spot for the 60's Pontiacs. My dad had a '65 Bonneville. Wish I still had it! Check out AVM's videos.

Oy, looky there. Thats a Pontiac Catalina. It can eat a Honda whole and spit it out through the pipes in a few seconds.

Yeah, the car will run all day over 100 mph. I am just saying she is no race car. The problem with top speeds in a original old car like that is the steering. Quite loose. I will clock her in the 1/4 mile and let you know how quick it runs. I normally use this car for more of a babe wagon. It looks fast, sounds fast and has a sweet stereo. The big trunk is great for a bass box. If yo want to see classic fast muscle I have another car to show you!
