After a few good hundred (50,000) with a Dell) or so rotations, your lid on your notebook/laptop will begin to wiggle and wobble because your hinge begins to loosen. Here is how you can keep it feeling new!

  • how to tighten acer aspire 4937g laptop lid?

  • @elitelord Not sure, I haven't worked on physically repairing any Acer computers.

  • Will IT WORK ON A DELL inspiron 1525

  • @GalwayChick From what I've been told, it generally does. You should ask @donkashmoney. That person had an Inspiron 1525, and was able to fix their system.

  • " and u mite shave anway the grooves in your scews" lol

  • @BrettFUKD Teehee =) Didn't mean it THAT way.

  • Thank you for taking your time to do this. The video would be better if you had a light on it, but anyone with half a brain, who would attempt this, should know how to remove drives, etc. To all those who had nasty comments, I hope you find happiness. Must be miserable to always be negative.

  • For the love of god, if your going to shoot a tutorial video on how to do something in which visual aid is necessarily please. oh please use adequate lighting. This is barely useful.

  • it while its siting on your table rather than just leaving it in there.... if a static discharge is what you are worried about its the processor that will get damaged any way, not the hard drive (unless its a solid state drive)....to minimize that risk just take out the motherboard system button cell battery , the main battery (of course unplug it too ) and don't stand or work on a carpeted surface (so when you move about you don't generate a static charge)

  • i have an E1705 too ;) any way , why would you take the hard drive out....if your worried about something happening to the data , there is a greater chance of something happening to

  • Every time you asked "Do you see...?", I had to respond, "NO." Too dark.

  • Great instructions but needs more lighting. TY

  • i love dell

  • Can it work on a Gateway 200stm notebook?/ Because its all like cant even hold the screen and falls? Thanks

  • can't see anything, it's too dark

  • @elitelord I don't know if you still want this but I have an acer 4920 and I tightened the hinge by screwing in the screws (covered by rubber) around the screen (especially the bottom 2)

  • dude...you need a light, A LIGHT!!!
