  • Ray is a (semi)socialist (just going by what he says here). Peter is a venture capitalist. Egon is all science. Winston's an everyday joe.

    Ray = heart

    Egon = brain

    Pete = mouth

    Winston = muscle

  • Ray is my hero.

    Love,

    Prof. Paul Krugman

  • This is the funniest line in the movie!!!! Jk this is the last thing I think of when Im thinkn of Ghostbusters

  • Ray is sooo cute, I love him ♥

  • This is true of EVERY university. And if you actually get results they patent it and you just get your name on it.

  • "I worked in the private sector, they expect results!!" XD

  • @hardcider09 There were amazing severance packages supplied to company leaders that ran their respective companies into the ground. A private sector phenomenon. It's a limited case, but another example of receiving without earning. This debate seems to be changing from socialism to the question "Is college worth it?" That depends on the student. There are terrible professors out there, but there are some hard workers out there, too. I wouldn't be the engineer I am today if not for them.

  • @SnackNStack On the surface, yes...but if you look at the bigger picture of state universities where, just as in other divisions of the government, they never run out of taxpayers...errr, I mean "paying customers", results are not demanded nor rewarded as much as in the private sector. Example: Show me some place "tenure" exists out in the private sector (aside from private universities who've had to implement it simply to compete).

  • This is one of my favorite lines! (And not just because I'm a hardcore libertarian.)

  • When I was a kid I wanted to go to university when I realized I wasn't a Kryptonian and I could never fly (it was my plan B). Then I watched Ghostbusters and I wanted to work with Egon and Ray, and go down the firefighter pole every morning to go catch ghosts (new plan A). I'm 19 years old now and I'm stuck with plan B again...

  • @SnackNStack Not necessarily considering the liberal messages Harold Ramis puts in his movies.
