oh cool ph on the word filthy. i see what you did there...you just replaced the F with a PH...cool man...420 was cool in 1995 too!! i'm just being an asshole, sorry man! I remember when Phish was not as popular, it was great!! I had been into them for a while but didnt get to see them until the Went. It got to a point where anything that was phishy was cool. Just certain things like that bug me to no end. I wish people reacted to Phish like they do other bands and not hang on their every move.

NYE in atlantic city was sick. both nights were very good. I was front row for most of the second night.

I certainly wouldn't want some douchebag thinking he's ironic wailing "can you still have FU-UH-UHN" in my ear like at 1:28, and just in general the audience completely drowns out the singers vocals. Trey said one of the reasons Phish was stopping was the shows were losing their magical intimacy as the scene was getting polluted with people more interested in partying then listening to the music.

I have no problem with a crowd chanting "Wilson," which evolved over the years as part of Phish's unique band-audience interaction, like yelling hood after every one of Trey's harrys, or clapping during Stash. But what separated real Phish fans from those of most other groups out there was that they were there to "participate" in the musical experience not just by audience-cues but by listening to what the band was doing up there and respecting their fellow concert-goers' own enjoyment of it.
