About This Video
A movie adaptation from Philip Pullman's childrens book, "The Golden Compass," is drawing controversy for strong anti-Catholic and anti-religion themes. Is the movie an example of 'atheist evangelism'? Discussing the issues of the movie, the book, and religion itself is Annie Laurie Gaylor of the Freedom from Religion Foundation and
Fox News religion contributor Father Jonathan Morris. (30 Oct 2007)

  • @ivanpb1983 It's pretty cool.

  • How I didn't know this! I'm gonna rent this movie right now to my kids!

  • religion is a load of crap. There is no god.

  • i was 10 wen i saw the movie and i didn't get the message or point of atheism or Christianity so if they "tried" to send a message it failed cmon who else didnt get it

  • "he's been known to be pushing on kids for a long time" unfortunately for kids, he's not the only one

  • Wow I guess the bible has all the answers in till you read the old shit

  • The brain explains free will. And I have never heard an atheist say "Science can prove everything."

  • Wow, what a rude little tv host. And they pair her against a "father?" How about just a regular interview where they ask her questions?

And she was clearly nervous. Did they get the worst person to ask about this on purpose?

There's no such thing as "militant atheism." A movie is not a military agenda, so they can shove it. The religious people who think its great a thing don't have to go see the movie, simple as that. What they WANT is to stop movies like this from even being made.

  • So thats why they never made the trilogy, the US is hilarious!

  • the burden proof is on atheists????!!! LMAO..... OHAHAHOHHOH somebody hold me back im gonna tackle that guy
