Uh... It takes place AFTER Super Metroid, which itself takes place after Metroid 2 and the Primes, and Metroid: Hunters. Also, we don't really know WHAT the game revolves around yet, as we have hardly any information on the plot yet.

the entire game takes place before the prime series, so it has nothing to do with the "dread" easter egg, and if it featured any hunters, they wouldnt be back, it would have to be the start of the feud, considering this revolves around samus and adam, i highly doubt we will see any of the hunters characters

I have a feeling this will relate to the secret ship in prime, I mean that guy who said remember me, he seemed friendly and all but what if sylux is back? Or more so what if the ship turns out to be a new kind of Metroid?

Oh sorry, your right, but I doubt we will have to wait untill E3. 2 Reasons: 1st, Yoshio Sakamoto, the biggest man behind the Metroid series has a keynote on GDC. I bet he personaly will show us a live demo. Second, Nintendo knows we finaly want new videos, since they didn´t show us any at the Media Summit. 95% chances that there will be something...

GDC is just 2 weeks away... There WILL be something there, because this game is already out in June and E3 is in July and therefor it wont be on E3 anymore, thats why you can be sure for 100% we will get videos and trailers in only 2 weeks :D
