There is a huge chance! Ape Escape is Sonys "Mario Bros." in japan. I wouldn't be surprised if it's already in development. Since PS3 is a complicated console, it might take a while.

They are making a new Ape Escape and its releasing next year.

It is a launch title for Sony's Sphere motion control.

I own Ape Escape 2 and I've rented Ape Escape 3 before and I couldn't see any reasons to discontinue production on this game.

Meh. :/
