Summer Rain

A thunderstorm rolled through, so I went out on the front porch and made some video of the rain and thunder. An invisible tree frog makes a guest appearance (audio only).

I like to sleep when it rains, if I wake up in the morning and hear rain hitting the window I roll over and go back to sleep!

I like the Summer rain. We've had alot of it with Thunderstorms in Massachusetts this Summer. We sit on the porch and watch unless the lightning is too close then we cower inside with our golden retriever.

robert, come to vancouver canada, rain is an often occurence. i do not mind, i live in a very green city. southern americans may be sissy like and say it is too cold, we have a mild climate. believe me i grew up in canada at a place where winters can kill you, andy

I hear that the exception in Vancouver are days when it doesn't rain!

The clouds ara still lingering today, there may be more in the forecast. Days like these make me glad that we can stay home and enjoy the weather from the safety of our front porch! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Just don't forget the steambath that usually follows a rain like that, it didn't happen yesterday because the cloud cover stayed heavy. Most of the time, the sun comes out afterwards and turns the city into a sauna.

It's enjoyable to sit and watch the rain fall and to hear the frogs wake up and start their ritual croaking. I guess they're calling for mates, it happens everytime there's a heavy rain.

Rain is great as long as you're safe & dry indoors! The frog is just one of a whole chorus of them who like to sing whenever it rains. I bet in a few days there'll be thousands of tadpoles in the drainage ditch!
