[How To] Downgrade Your iPhone or iPod Touch From 4.0 to 3.1.3 or lower[Updated]

(windows XP service pack 2)


AFTER YOU GET THE ERROR YOU HAVE TO OPEN UP TERMINAL OR COMMAND PROPMT

And type this in:
Start iRecovery in Terminal / Console with iRecovery -s

3) Execute the following commands:

setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
reboot

**INFO**
if you encountered an error message like 1011, 1013, 1015, just ignore them
(Actually the firmware3..1.3 is already successfully installed) and use iRecovery to get the hold of your iPhone again.

this video worked great....I'm super impressed dude thanks. I only have one question, can you add ultrasn0w to unlock the iPhone manually? My wifi on my iPhone 3g doesn't seem to work any more, it worked for a while and now I can't get it to work anymore, any ideas?

@SpYdErFrK Yes, I'm pretty sure you can. ssh into your iPhone. I dont have a video on how to add ultrasn0w by ssh. But I'm pretty sure it will work.

After installing LibUsb my pc (win7) didn't found any hardware like usb ports or something else. The only things that have been connected had been my keyboard (laptop), my touchpad (laptop) and my display!

i don't know if anyone had the same problem but i was really happy that i could uninstall libusb.

my pc told me, that the drivers are not installed.
