He began performing when he was a child. The roads he traveled were long and sometimes very hard but most of them have been shared with Sam Carr. In the 50's he and Sam were picked up by the Philip's label. They were one of the first acts Sam Philips picked up for his newly formed company.

"The Mighty King, Frank Frost" is one of the most incredible harp men you will ever hear. He ought to be he learned from one of the most revered harp player's in the world, Sonny Boy Williamson, of "King Biscuit Time" fame.

  • They should make troops march to this - it's hard to wage war when you're grooving.

  • @Xpinger this record was released in 1966...great soulful strut...yeah

  • Sound of Gems Tune Music. Nice.

  • Yummiiiiiiii !!! Need my back to be scratched as well

  • Keep in mind that Frank Frost played guitar with Sonny Boy not harmonica. This is someone else on harp.

  • I got to play with Frank a couple times, once on stage at a Blues Festival and once in Eddie Mae's Cafe in Helena. I knew Sam Carr too and I met Big Jack Johnson in Clarksdale MS. They were all great guys!! Excellent music!!! The first time I saw the Jelly Roll Kings, I first noticed Sam, and immediately told my buddy, hey, "he plays like me!", my buddy said, "no, no, you play like HIM !! " and from that moment on I was hooked, yep, there's one helluva band in Heaven now!!! Thanks, Frank!

  • another cool post Xpinger!
