@TheExodus17 You can try to claim that Marcion somehow altered the scriptures but what you can't say is that there existed a NT before his compilation of writings.

This whole immaculate conception concept is based on the erroneous idea that Isaiah 7: 14 was somehow associated with Christ but if you actually read the whole chapter you can see that prophecy was fulfilled in the 8th chapter of Isaiah and the son was Isaiah's son. Cont. B.

@TheExodus17 B. The prophecy was for King Ahaz and him alone.....and was based on the fact that Judah had united with Syria in an attempt to attack Israel. YAH stated that this would never come to pass and sent Isaiah to King Ahaz to offer him a sign as proof. This prophecy was fulfilled in the 8th ch. of Isaiah. Matthew 1: 22-23, is a blatant attempt to twist old testament scriptures. If you don't agree, then explain how Jesus has anything to do with Judah uniting with Syria against King Ahaz.

You just want to argue with me......did you even read Ch 7 and 8 of Isaiah? Was I wrong? Was I wrong about Jeconiah being cursed or that Christ descended from this cursed lineage? This doesn't disprove Jesus at all...The two Lineages clearly state that they are Joseph's lineages. In Matthew he's at the end and in Luke he's in the beginning. He's only called the son of David and it's because of Joseph's lineage. Mary was the only parent who was truly related to Jesus. If your only problem with Jesus is he's portrayed as white in America...He wasn't. He hid in Egypt over 2011 years ago from Herod with Mary and Joseph as a baby. They had to be pretty dark to pull that off.

Genealogies would ultimately be meaningless if God himself was the father of Jesus. Paul in 1 Tim. 1:4 and Titus 3:3 states that Christians should not get involved about foolish disputes about genealogies and things that would gain no profit. Jewish theologians believe that stories of Jesus being the son of God is an echo of pagan myths of gods having children with mortal women and also a device to cover up an embarrassing pregnancy of Mary.
