  • OK, The engine company was inside the appartment making a push from the rear to the front. That's why you don't see the water flying as requested. The Officer in charge was not about to shove the fire back onto the engine company already inside and burn the company. In the critique afterwards it was brought to the attention of the Probie that the cut should have been more directly over the fire. Thanks for the interest in the video.

  • I wouldnt want any of you wack offs on my fire dept.!!!

  • @firedude25 You Have no idea what you are talking about so please don't make anymore comments!

  • @lacrossetechnology, your comment is so arrogant, go to an American fire academy and you'll see why. This house isn't fully involved, it looks like a room and contents that flashed over with an extension to the attic maybe. After he vents, look how much the fire went down... Learn your shit before saying something stupid

  • again and i have stated this on another "American" house fire!! where the hell is the water and hoses?, why the heck would you vent a fully involved Fire, what about saving property. Venting like this puts "LIFE" at risk (firefighters) for what??

  • @gotgank ...as a deputy chief i would never in a million years put anyone on a roof that was already self ventilating......i agree with you a vertical vent is better 100%....but a fire already advanced into attic...that screams get off the roof......better yet...dont go on the roof.......if you have an ariel...vent away off the ariel.......just my humble opinion........stay safe.....

  • @firedude25 Vent was cut in wrong spot. A proper cut would have made more of an impact. Sure, it was venting itself, but vertical vents are always better than horizontal. The fire had already advanced into the attic, which only had small dormer windows. The vent was a good call. If u have the manpower, use it.

  • .....6 days after christmas....that's horrible...and on new years eve..

  • fire is already venting...no need to cut roof.....waste of manpower.......
